Paul Carr
A week later than usual - a celebration of Easter with works by Tournemire, Handel, Choveaux and Dupré
Paul plays one of Shrewsbury Abbey's 'Saturday at Noon' Concerts on the recently rebuild Hill organ.
Programme to include J.S. Bach's Prelude and Fugue in A minor and César Franck's Choral no 3 in A minor.
Programme to include César Franck's Choral no 2 in B minor to mark the composer's 200 anniversary year.
Due to unforeseen delays during scheduled major work on the organ (which has already seen the cancellation of May’s recital by James Lancelot) coupled with the uncertainty around the completion date and the settling-in period following the work, this recital has been postponed until the 2023-24 series.
Paul returns once again to play the famous Harrison & Harrison organ in one of the country's most beautiful churches.
